Failure To Yield Leads To Five People Injured

Yield.jpgChannel 3, WEAR, reports that five people, including two children, were injured in a Highway 29 two-vehicle crash this past weekend. According to Florida Highway Patrol, a 21-year-old male was stopped in his Chevrolet Silverado facing east on Neal Road at the intersection of U.S. Highway 29. A second vehicle, driven by a 26-year-old female, was driving a Ford F150, going northbound on U.S. Highway 29 approaching Neal Road. The Silverado entered the intersection, which lead the front of the F150 truck to strike the right side of the Silverado causing it to overturn. The driver of the Silverado and his passenger, a 19-year-old female were taken to a Pensacola hospital for minor injuries. The 21-year-old-male was charged with violating the right of way at a stop intersection. The 26-year-old, along with her two children passengers, were also taken to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Failure to Yield -1.jpgAccording to various news agencies, two people are seriously injured after their cars collided near Dean Bozeman School this past week. According to FHP, a 24-year-old Chipley man was driving a Ford F-250 north on Highway 77 when a 16-year old female from Southport attempted to make a left turn in a Ford Explorer across the northbound lanes near Deane Bozeman School. Troopers said the two collided which caused the truck to rollover, hit a fire hydrant, and end up in a ditch. The a Southport teen was cited for failing to yield the right of way.  Both drivers were taken to Bay Medical Sacred Heart with serious injuries. There were no passengers in either vehicle.

Yield on Green.jpgAccording to Channel 7, WJHG out of Panama City, there was an accident on Saturday, May 7th,  that sent multiple people to the hospital after two vehicles collided on U.S. Business Highway 98 near Cherry Street in Springfield.
